We are a small home-based kennel, and have been active in Golden Retrievers since 1994. We are located in the heart of central Illinois.

ere at Eclipse we strive to achieve the very best in health, temperament, and structure. Our goal is to produce well rounded puppies that are successful in whatever venue you choose. We also breed to the standard set forth by the American Kennel Club and agreed upon by the Golden Retriever Club of America.
All Eclipse puppies are socialized and raised in our home. The puppies receive all needed veterinary care and immunizations prior being placed with their new families. We also guarantee our puppies against genetic defects.
All of the dogs used in our breeding program have complete health clearances. These include, but are not limited to OFA clearances for Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, Sub-Valvular Aortic Stenosis (SAS) cleared by a board certified Cardiologist and Hereditary Cataracts cleared by an Ophthalmologist (CERF).
The puppies once placed, will go to their new homes with a wealth of information to assist you. I am always available to answer questions.
The Golden Retriever is a family dog, thus he needs to be close to you. Goldens don’t do well away from you for extended periods of time; they prefer to be inside with you. If this is not something you are willing to do, a golden is not the right dog for you.
We want our puppies to be productive working dogs in whatever venue you choose, and above all be a valued family member.
We are members of the Golden Retriever Club of America, The Golden Retriever Club of Illinois, The Dog Training Club of Champaign-Urbana (DTCCU) and Therapy Dog International. We are currently active in conformation, rally, agility and obedience. Our dogs also work as therapy dogs in the community.
